School: evanston township high school On a day stuck at home during the recent solar eclipse, I sadly had no viewing glasses. In addition to this, I couldn't look into the sun because I was not close enough to totality. Totality is when the moon completely covers the sun. When your eyes look up at the sun, your natural reaction is to look away, although with the limited amount/lower amount of UV light this is not the case. I was then informed that I could use a viewer with different small shadows. Since the sun is being partially covered by the moon, the shadows will not be circular so I used the holes in a ritz cracker. Another effect of this is that the light is that it makes the light more definitive. This is because the smaller amount of light is more concentrated into one spot. This helps the photo look much clearer and makes it even better. Physics in Action!
