Trapped Inside The Wires

The setup shown in the photo is composed of a lamp that was turned on facing the camera,  and the surrounding metal wires that were placed around the lamp. The lamp was hung up in the ceiling with wires held up around it. The camera was directly below the lamp. This photo is based on the principles of reflection,  wherein the incoming light would form concentric circles around itself if it travels through reflective material,  the metal wires in this case. When this light encounters the metal wires,  it undergoes reflection according to the law of reflection,  which states that the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection. This reflection results in an "X" shape,  with the observer's eye capturing the light that is reflected off the wires and directed towards it. Other lights that are reflected simply do not enter our eyes because of the angle at which they hit the reflective surface. Now,  the wires are not a single flat surface; rather,  they consist of multiple surfaces oriented at different angles relative to the observer. Each segment of wire acts as a separate reflective surface,  and as the light reflects off these different surfaces,  it forms multiple instances of the "X" shape. Since the wires are arranged in a circular or concentric pattern around the lamp,  the reflections from each segment overlap and interfere with each other. The resulting pattern of constructive and destructive interference forms concentric circles or arcs around the light source.
