Acute Moon WalkHailie WeaverAward: Top 100
School: cary grove high school When finding something to photograph I wanted to show off something really cool and so I started rotating different objects. Then I saw life savers at my friends house and I wanted to try a cool action shot. Then came this where I captured it while it was still rotating and about to drop, which reminded me of how hoops have a higher rotational inertia since a life saver is a hoop. The life savers mass is distributed towards the outside and that's why it has a higher rotational inertia. It also has more angular momentum and was more stable while rotating allowing it to rotate longer and letting me get this picture. It is also like Micheal Jackson striking his signature pose but at an acute angle. |
