Fork Tines and Light lines

This photo contains a water-filled glass with a fork inside and a light behind the glass pointed towards the viewer. Due to the glass being curved and filled with water,  it acts like a converging lens since the light passing through has to pass through more material at the center than the edges.
While the light rays pass through the glass,  they bend inwards towards a focal point which can be seen as the bright and narrow point of light on the table. Between this focal point and the side of the glass,  there is a virtual reduced upright image of the fork that is,  despite the tines being parallel,  converging towards the focal point. Similarly,  after the focal point,  there is a diverging image.
Interestingly,  there are two shadows in the image: the fork's shadow,  and the glass's,  and both are created differently. For the fork,  light can't pass through it,  while for the glass,  there isn't any light there because it was redirected to converge at the center.
Additionally,  at the edges of the fork's shadow,  you can see the light is differently colored,  due to slight dispersion of the colors of white light. On the outsides of the shadow,  pointing away from the center,  the light is tinted red,  while inside the tines,  the edges are tinted blue. This is because as the light moves through the glass,  the blue light is bent more than the red light,  ending up more in the center than the red.
