Technical Application:
• Lighting: Natural light was utilized to capture the refraction and reflection on the water's surface, creating a complex interplay of light and shadow that forms an ordered yet intricate pattern.
• Composition: A top-down view was chosen to eliminate any distractions in the background, allowing the viewer to focus solely on the dynamic texture of the ripples. The simple and minimalist composition emphasizes the natural balance between randomness and order, highlighting the fluidity and harmony of the water.
• Focus & Depth of Field: By using a small aperture, a greater depth of field was achieved, ensuring that every intricate detail of the ripples was captured in sharp focus. This technique allows the subtle variations in texture and light to be fully appreciated.
• Post-Processing: In the editing process, brightness and contrast were finely adjusted to enhance the three-dimensionality of the light, giving depth to the image. Cool tones were applied to create a fresh and immersive atmosphere that further draws the viewer into the natural scene.
