School: holland christian high school This picture combines old style with new technology. The picture itself is a long exposure picture taken over 25 seconds. It is inspired by a pinhole camera. A pinhole camera is a manual long exposure camera that is not often used, but there was a point in time when pinhole cameras were the only type of cameras there was. This image was taken from a digital camera, with a long exposure setting, that was manually focused through the pinhole of a custom home made pinhole camera attachment. Pinhole cameras used to capture pictures called ghost images that looked as if things were moving in the background, but weren't there. In this picture I recreated this effect with a digital camera with the pinhole attachment. The motion in the back is someone taking steps and stopping part way through for a few seconds to capture each step creating that standing in line effect. To have a grounding point in the photo we have someone standing still to give more life. The picture is taken in front of a set of dark colored lockers to make the colors of both people's clothes show. If the picture would have been taken in front of a place with more light the white shirt and white shoes would not have been shown.
